Race to Nowhere!
Back by Popular Demand!
Thursday, Sept. 30 7:30pm and Monday Oct. 4, 7:30pm.
First in a series of educational documentaries presented by the Lark Theater to stimulate discussion about schools and education, this film is a close-up look at the pressures on today's students to achieve and succeed. The film tackles the tragic side of our achievement-obsessed culture, with interviews that explore the hidden world of over-burdened schedules, student suicide, and academic cheating.
Race To Nowhere is a call to families, educators, experts and policy makers to examine current assumptions about the best ways to prepare youth to become healthy, bright, contributing and leading citizens of the next century.
Q&A Panel after the screening.
Tickets: $10 general admission, advance purchase recommended.
Purchase tickets by phone or at the box office,
Lark Theater,
549 Magnolia Avenue,
Larkspur, (415)924-5111.

Calling All Gardeners
Garden parties are a great way to get to know people at Redwood. Join us on Saturday mornings once a month from 9am to noon for light gardening that helps beautify our campus. Our first meeting is on Saturday, September 18 in the Amphitheater. Students receive community service for the hours they work. They also receive credit for family members’ time, as long as the student is present. You can bring your own gardening gloves and tools or use ours. No need to sign up. Bagels and water are always supplied. We hope to garden with you soon. For more information contact Lindy Flemming via email at lflemming@sbcglobal.net or by phone at 415-924-9739.

PURCHASE YOUR INSCRIBED TILES BEFORE NOVEMBER 1ST AND RECEIVE A HANDSOME DISCOUNT!
If you haven't had a chance to visit Redwood's Lunch Plaza, take a minute to go take a look! It's paved with hundreds of laser-inscribed bricks, commemorating those who've attended Redwood in the past. It also features an inscribed tile on each table, bench and raised tree planter.
This year, we are offering a special one-time-only opportunity to purchase a limited number of inscribed tiles (in two sizes) at a significant discount if purchased prior to November 1, 2010. Don’t miss this opportunity to purchase an inscribed 4x8 tile for $500 or an 8x8 tile for $750! Sorry, the tables are all sold out!
Each year we provide you the opportunity to purchase a brick paver or tile of your own, with the inscription of your choice. We'll see that it's properly inscribed and installed prior to commencement. All you need to do is fill out the order form and provide payment. This can be done on-line at using PayPal or through the mail using a check (to view and print order form click here). Deadline to place orders to be installed prior to 2011 commencement is March 1, 2011. Don't be left out!
